The old house |
|
The house, dating back to 1768, shows how people lived in the bygone days in the Alps above Zinal. On the top floor, furniture and artefacts illustrate life at that time. The typical cellar that the association ‘The Friends Of Old Zinal’ use as an exhibition area has a display of enlargements of very old photos. |

St Barthélémy Chapel |
|
| It was in 1899 that this chapel dedicated to Saint Barthélémy was built on the site of the old, smaller chapel dating back to 1515 and probably even before. Saint Barthélémy was chosen as he was the protector against fires and natural disasters. |
Services are held every Sunday at 5.30 p.m. during the high season. Moreover, in summer and winter there are various classical music concerts at the chapel.

Ayer-Zinal twinned with Montferriez Sur Lez |

| These towns were officially twinned in 1999. Since then each town takes it in turn to visit the other and the people of these two towns have now become friends. |
Ayer – Zinal is mountains. Montferriez Sur Lez (near Montpellier) is South, it’s the sea. The aim of the twinning of these towns was to open up two different cultures and mentalitites One of the mountains and the other the sea.
